Become a Member

We are an organization dedicated to the enjoyment of astronomy, in all of its many forms, in San Antonio and South Texas. You do not need to own any type of astronomical equipment, you just need an interest in the sky, and a desire to enjoy it with others.

SALSA conducts numerous stargazing activities each month, for the public, plus private events for members.  Please monitor our calendar of events, so you won’t miss that chance to share in a wonderful night sky event!

Membership is open to everyone with an interest in astronomy, or any aspect of space science. We hope that once you experience our stellar fellowship and year-round activities, you will help spread the word about our organization!

A one year individual membership is $25.00, and a family membership (two or more people) is $35.00. This includes: an optional membership in the national Astronomical League and subscription to The Reflector magazine; admission to various astronomy talks and meetings; membership in the SALSA online group; and access to the SALSA online astronomical library.
